Anwesshaa appeared on national television for the first time in the year 2007. Thereafter, she has been a part of various other shows. Her first breakthrough in Bollywood was in Golmaal Returns for Pritam Chakraborty when she was 14. Films like I am 24, Raanjhanaa, Revolver Rani, Love u soniyo, Panchlait, Dangerous Ishq, I am Banni, Kaanchi, Prem Ratan Dhan payo, Do lafzon ki kahani, Just Tigdam, The Final Encounter, Bansuri, etc led her towards silver screen. Among Indian regional languages,she has been doing playbacks in Bangla, Tamil, Telegu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, Nepali, Rajasthani, Bhojpuri.
