LandCruiser 79series V6 build | Is this the ultimate overlanding vehicle? Landcruiser 79series V6 kept very basic. But it works!! Kitting out a landcruiser 79series to be used as an overlanding rig is so much fun. There are so many gadgets and products available on the market. They all work in their own way, but fitting all of it at once is nearly impossible. We have been using our Landcruiser for a while now and tried to keep it very basic. Weight is a massive issue, especially with the double cab as most of your packing space is behind the rear axle. To make matters worse is the fact that we overland with a big Conqueror Companion in tow as well. Is this the ultimate overlanding vehicle? Perhaps not for everyone, but it works for us.
