Es de sobra conocido la eficacia de las imitaciones de hormiga alada para pescar ciprínidos, en especial barbos, y truchas. Especialmente durante el otoño cuando tienen lugar las grandes eclosiones de estos insectos tras las tormentas. Sin embargo, este patrón pesca y mucho durante todo el año por lo que siempre es un referente en mi caja de moscas. Esta es una de las maneras que utilizo para montarlas.
