Coastguard said I shouldn't have gone spearfishing today

The British National Spearfishing Championships are held over several competitions throughout the year and the forecast was not favourable/touch & go. The competition was postponed but I was in that part of the country anyway so decided to give it a go. Certainly not the nicest conditions to be spearfishing in but you don't catch fish sitting on the shoreline. Upon my return the coastguard bailed me up and asked why I hadn't logged on with them as they had received several reports of a swimmer too far out. They then found I was more than okay and returned to their pub lunch! I finally make use of the charcoal grill at our new place for a lovely dinner with one of the fish.
