Star Academy 8 | 2011 The show's concept revolves around discovering new singing talents. The contestants are students who undergo daily training and lessons to develop their artistic abilities. This is presented in a reality TV format. The students' lives are broadcast in one location for 15 weeks. Each week, they perform a live concert (a "prime") on a stage in front of hundreds of fans, which is also broadcast live. They undergo weekly auditions and evaluations. One student is eliminated each week based on a public vote.
