Having already crossed the West Bengal-North Odisha coast near Digha, the system is triggering extreme rainfall across the state. A Red warning has been declared for districts like Sundargarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj, while multiple other districts are on Orange and Yellow alerts. Authorities are warning of potential flash floods, waterlogging, and traffic disruptions. Fishermen are strictly advised not to venture into the sea due to squally winds reaching up to 65 kmph.
