Le FM (MAC) 24/29, La puissance au service du groupe de combat

The MAC 24/29, more commonly known as the 24/29 Light Machine Gun, is one of the finest achievements of French engineering and industry between the two World Wars. Developed to replace the legendary Chauchat of 1916, it established itself as a true French alternative to the American BAR. This excellent light machine gun, which is not strictly speaking a machine gun, proved invaluable to the French army in 1940, and later in Indochina and Algeria!
