Flag raised at Edinburgh's City Chambers to mark Armed Forces Day 2026
A flag has been raised above Edinburgh’s City Chambers to pay tribute to the Armed Forces community ahead of this year's Armed Forces Day. With army personnel and council members, including the Lord Provost, congregating within the City Chambers’ quadrangle, a traditional ceremony took place officially marking 2026’s annual event on Saturday (27 June), which commemorates the service men and women in the British Armed Forces.
