How to Pre-Flush and Prep Your PC Radiator For a PC Custom Loop Pre Install
One of the most common questions I get from people who watched my PC build video was: How did I pre-flush and prep my radiators to get them ready for install in my PC custom loop? Most of you have said you cleaned them out by adding water and shaking, emptying, then repeating the process, but like many of you, I've found that even doing that a few dozen times doesn't clean out everything. Instead of shaking it dozens of times and still seeing gunk in it, with this loop, you just set it and forget it. While there may not be a true "right" way, this is what works for me and I like it. The "right" way is the method that works for you. In my limited experience with different rads, I found that EK is usually cleaner than others. In this video I show you how I created a simple loop using a cheap aquarium pump on a Hardware Labs radiator. After a half a day to a day, it will be free of all the shrapnel and debris that gets stuck in there from the factory. NOTE- I actually used distilled water and the shaking method for 2 rounds even before this which got some out. So what you see in this video is AFTER using the shake method twice. This is the aquarium pump I used. It was the cheapest one I could find when I got it: https://amzn.to/3tMiKbI Coffee filter https://amzn.to/3tKBAAd Exact Jar (you'll need to cut a hole in the filter with this one) https://amzn.to/3KxTkVu Wide mouth jar (if you just want to put the tube on the side and not drill a hole) https://amzn.to/33xJWAx Instead of the jar you can also just use the distilled water bottle and cut the top!!
