How to transfer your rug hooking pattern
This video demonstrates how to transfer a rug hooking pattern to the backing. For this method, you will need: Your pattern Backing (linen, monks cloth, burlap) Sharpened pencil Permanent, black, Sharpie brand marker** Straight pins Tulle fabric (or Red Dot interfacing) Ruler or measuring tape **All permanent markers are not created equally. Some "bleed" as you hook your pattern. In my experience, black Sharpies have not "bled." I have had difficulties with other colours, though. The last thing you want is to find ink from your marker in your wool half-way to completion. Therefore, I recommend using a fine point black Sharpie.
