Grabouw 4x4, crabbing towards a waterfall on this grade 3 - 6 trail, better watch out! - Diesel Tech

Second on our list of 4x4 trails in the Western Cape we checked out Grabouw 4x4 trail. Situated on the outskirts of Grabouw, this route offers mainly rocky terrain graded between 3 to grade 6 with one particular peak at the top of the hill that will challenge those with extreme off road capable vehicles & heart. Also indicated by signs along the route it is fairly easy to follow the trail with a few challenging sections along the way with escape routes should you choose not to attempt the challenges at hand. The second loop / halve of the trail is not so much 4x4 type of driving as the first part & is partially covered with tree branches over growth but still offers good scenery & a lovely hidden waterfall if you are will to take a 5 minute walk from the track. We would rate this track: Fun factor - 7/10 Scenery factor - 8/10 You can stop along the way for a picnic or lunch should you feel like it or just make it a nice fun filled day out in nature with the whole family on this track!
