Is this a good waterclour set for beginners? | Review of Qicaihui watercolours from Paul Rubens

Buying a new set of watercolours can be a leap of faith. Finding a set which is a pleasure to use, covers all the colours you are after and won't break the bank, is a challenge. And is the quality good enough not to restrict you as your skills and experience grow? This new (ish) Qicaihui set from Paul Rubens is an academy/student set, but punches above its weight and performs beautifully wet in wet. The Purple Lake is a standout colour! Join me as I introduce you to Qi Cai Hui (which means seven colours possibilities = a raninbow of possibilities, as far as my online translator says). We will look at the swatches and then paint a loose simple floral sampler to see how they behave in action.
