A tour of Bandera, Texas (Cowboy Capital of the World)

Bandera is a small town of less than 1,000 people located in the Texas Hill Country. It's 50 miles northwest of San Antonio and neighboring towns include Boerne, Kerrville and Comfort. It's known as the Cowboy Capital of the World (along with Stephenville, Texas) since it was a staging area for cattle drives in the 1800's and along an old Texas ranger trail connecting San Antonio and Kerrville. Many national rodeo champions are based in Bandera and there a some cowboy tourist things to do like horseback riding and dude ranching. So there is a strong sense of independence and individualism in the town, with it's heritage in the American West. There is also a high density of places that feature live music, including: Arkey Blue's Silver Dollar, 11th Street Cowboy Bar, The First National Ice Haus, Bandera Brewery, Shotgun Sports Bar and Grill, Monkey Cage Saloon, The Hen's Nest, Brick's River Cafe, Wild Horse Saloon, Red Horse Saloon WATCH MORE VIDEOS ABOUT THE TEXAS HILL COUNTRY:    • Texas Hill Country   WATCH MORE VIDEOS FEATURING TOWNS IN TEXAS:    • Towns in Texas   WATCH MORE VIDEOS FEATURING PLACES TO GO IN TEXAS:    • Places to go in Texas   TOURING TEXAS (find a show in your area): ▶https://www.davidbridwell.com/ DOWNLOAD THE GOOD TIMES ALBUM: ▶https://www.davidbridwell.com/music PATREON: ▶  / davidbridwellmusic   MAILING LIST FOR TOUR DATES AND NEW SINGLES: ▶Sign up: http://www.davidbridwell.com FOLLOW ME ON SOCIAL MEDIA! ▶Instagram   / davidbridwellmusic   ▶Facebook   / davidbridwellmusic   #TexasHillCountry #TownsinTexas #PlacestogoinTexas
