I used a 3D printer to create a press mold out of PLA and test it to see if I could press metals (aluminum, brass, iron, and stainless steel). Making a mold out of PLA is a fairly inexpensive, quick, and easy way to try press processing, considering the cost of materials, the time it takes to arrange them, and the time it takes to process the mold.
