Sadness, resentment, hatred, and disappointment are merely waste of the heart that will weigh down life and drain energy. The key to happiness is not wealth or possessions, but the ability to forgive, be open-minded, and surrender all matters to Allah. Those who can control their anger and forgive the mistakes of others will live a lighter and more peaceful life. The preacher also emphasized the importance of prayer. The primary purpose of prayer is not simply to have one's wishes granted, but to maintain hope within oneself. As long as one still has hope in Allah, one will always have the strength to rise from adversity. Furthermore, humans must realize that all blessings come from Allah. One major sin is ungratefulness, which is denying that sustenance, success, and various gifts come from Allah. Therefore, gratitude and surrender are the main keys to a more peaceful, happy, and blessed life.
