Classical Architecture with Jan Gleysteen

Architect Jan Gleysteen designed Larry and Delia’s home, which was featured in Episode 10 of New England Living TV's Season 2. The architect graduated from Columbia Graduate School of Architecture and Planning. He has found joy in his career. “I do it for the pleasure of being able to create things,” he says. In Newton, he administered his love and appreciation for classical architecture. “There are a lot of rules and regulations,” he says. “It’s actually quite complex to do it properly in terms of columns and beams and curves, so I bring an academic classical architecture to the details combined with my carpentry experience.”
