How to Make a Spiral Labyrinth
Make a spiral design labyrinth in 15 mins outdoors with 12 pebbles and some flour - or use leaves or twigs or anything you have handy! Start by placing 3 stones in a triangle shape, then marking off the mid-point on each side, then the mid-point between all the pebbles. This is known as the labyrinth 'seed pattern'. Spread out the stones enough so you can walk in the gaps between them. This is the width of your path through the labyrinth. Then simply join the dots in the way Michelle does in the video. Michelle has used flour, but you can use leaves, twigs, pebbles, shells, toy cars (we've done this before!), old lengths of hosepipe - anything really. If you make the 'walls' to the pathways broader, you can also trim or mow the grass pathway in between and create a grass labyrinth. This video is sped up but it took about 10-15 minutes. You can make your labyrinth as large as you have space for - the larger it is, the longer you'll have to walk. Share your labyrinth photos on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook - #littlelabyrinths
