Shoulder Dystocia : Resolution by modified Posterior Axillary Sling Traction (PAST) [English] Narrated by: Dr Angel KWAN (O&G CUHK) Produced by: Prof Tak Yeung LEUNG (O&G CUHK) This introductory video demonstrates the proper application of posterior axillary sling traction using a ribbon gauze and a right-angle forceps, to resolve shoulder dystocia. The ribbon gauze and the right-angle forceps have advantages over a plastic catheter and fingers. We also emphasize that the primary mechanism to resolve shoulder dystocia is rotation of the shoulders, which is facilitated by the sling.
