Where are we seeking true happiness? In God or in sources that cannot quench our deepest thirst? In today's liturgy, the prophet Jeremiah presents one of the most striking images in Sacred Scripture: God is the Fountain of Living Water, but the people preferred to abandon this fountain to build cracked cisterns that cannot hold water. In the Gospel, Jesus explains why he speaks in parables. The mysteries of the Kingdom are revealed to those who possess a humble heart open to God's action. It is not enough to hear; it is necessary to welcome the Word and allow it to transform life. 🙏 This liturgy invites us to examine where we have placed our trust.
