Super Mario Bros. OST Remastered with 80s synths and samplers

This is the first NES soundtrack I covered in this style. Game soundtracks don't get much more classic than this. You know, Mr. Kondo actually ended up saying that he wasn't really thinking of a genre when he wrote the main Super Mario Bros. theme. "Game music" as a thing unto itself is its own aesthetic, especially when you're talking about systems that used chip music, and even moreso when you're talking about the 80s when game compositions were quite limited in harmonic depth, complexity, and length. In that regard, a project like this is really more of a faithful reimagining or revamping in a particular style than it is a true "remaster". But I use that label anyway, just to make it clear that I stuck close to the original music and tried to capture the styles of music the soundtrack evokes, as well as what I think certain NES waveforms were aiming for. Also, these projects use VST and soundfont emulations of those 80s synths and samplers, rather than authentic hardware. Just mentioning that for transparency's sake.
