ELBE oder wie man seine eigene embedded distribution bauen kann
ELBE or How to Build Your Own Embedded Distribution by Simone May 2, 2026 Anyone wanting to build their own embedded Linux product quickly faces the question: How do you create a reproducible, maintainable root filesystem, including a kernel and bootloader, without each developer having to maintain their own, difficult-to-maintain collection of scripts? ELBE (Embedded Linux Build Environment) is an open-source tool that solves precisely this problem. Based on Debian and QEMU, ELBE generates complete, binary-reproducible embedded Linux images from a single XML description file – for ARM, RISC-V, x86, and many other target architectures. This presentation provides a practical introduction: from the basic concept and the build process to real-world industrial applications. By the end, attendees will know how to use ELBE in their own projects. Film: https://www.luga.de/static/LIT-2026/a...
