Critical hours for six municipalities along the Alberche River as it flows through the province of Toledo. Nearly one hundred families have been evacuated from several housing developments in Escalona and Calalberche, close to the riverbank. In addition, the Tagus River continues to be monitored near the National Paraplegic Hospital in Toledo, where the water is very close to the containment dike built by the Military Emergency Unit (UME). There is also concern in Talavera de la Reina about the Tagus, which is already flowing through the city at a rate of 950 cubic meters per second and in some neighborhoods is less than half a meter from overflowing. Maximum alert is also in effect for the Henares River in the Community of Madrid and for the Jarama River. Special attention is being paid to the Manzanares River in the capital, where it has already reached its maximum level, implying a high risk of overflowing and flooding.
