I tried my hand at summer fishing for Japanese whiting at the "Former Oto Elementary School" in Nagasaki City! I had bites non-stop from morning, but most of them were small whiting... I caught 16 fish over 15cm (keeper size) and released 25 that were too small. I considered moving to a different spot, but the intense heat made me give up. However, after persevering, I managed to catch a nice-sized whiting, the largest of the day at 22.0cm! Furthermore, the heat caused my camera to overheat several times...
