Exploring the Outside of Old Joliet Prison (DJI Osmo Pocket 3)
I stopped by the historic Old Joliet Prison in Joliet, Illinois on the 4th of July — but it was closed for the holiday, so this is a look at the prison from the outside, walking the grounds and perimeter. Shot on the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. Old Joliet Prison operated from 1858 to 2002 and is famous as the filming location for The Blues Brothers, Prison Break, and Let's Go to Prison. It once housed notorious inmates including Leopold and Loeb. The site is normally open for seasonal guided tours through the Joliet Area Historical Museum, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2023. 📍 1125 N Collins St, Joliet, IL 🎥 Shot on: DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Subscribe for more camping, hiking, and travel content from the Chicago area. #OldJolietPrison #Joliet #AbandonedPlaces #Illinois #ChicagoTravel #Route66
