Buque Rompehielos Almirante Irizar | Icebreaker vessel 'Almirante Irizar'
SENER ha llevado a cabo el proyecto de ingeniería integral de reparación y modernización del rompehielos de la Armada Argentina, Almirante Irízar (RHAI), tras el incendio que el buque sufrió en una campaña antártica en 2007. Este proyecto, es una de las obras de ingeniería naval más importantes que se han llevado a cabo en Argentina en los últimos 25 años. El trabajo realizado por SENER incluye: Ingeniería del desguace de las zonas más severamente dañadas del buque siguiendo las más estrictas recomendaciones de seguridad; Ingeniería básica y de detalle de estructura, armamento, electricidad y habilitación de las zonas, equipos y sistemas a renovar y/o modernizar; Elaboración de especificaciones técnicas de compra de todos los equipos y sistemas relevantes; Asistencia técnica durante la reparación / modernización del buque, incluyendo pruebas de mar y pruebas de hielo. Entre los meses de septiembre y octubre de 2017, se realizaron las pruebas de navegación, durante el trayecto Buenos Aires – Ushuaia y Ushuaia – Antártida. Regresando a fines de octubre a la ciudad de Buenos Aires. El pasado 16 de abril, el buque finalizó con éxito las tareas de la Campaña Antártica 2017-2018, que le fueran encomendadas. -------------------------- SENER was awarded the comprehensive engineering contract for the repair and modernization of the Argentine Navy’s 'Almirante Irízar’ icebreaker ship (RHAI) after the vessel was damaged by fire during an Antarctic campaign. This project is one of the most important marine engineering projects to be carried out in Argentina in the last 25 years. The work developed by SENER: Engineering to scrap the parts of the ship that were most severely damaged, following the most stringent safety recommendations; Basic and detail engineering on the structure, outfitting, electricity and fitting out of the areas, equipment and systems that are being renovated and/or modernised; Draw up technical specifications for procuring all the relevant equipment and systems; Technical support while the ship is being repaired / modernised, including the ocean trials and ice trials. Between September and October 2017, was completed the navigation tests, and on April 16, 2018, the ship satisfactorily completed the tasks of the 2017-2018 Antarctic Campaign that have been assigned to it. Among the duration of the campaign after the reconstruction, it has supplied 13 bases of the country in 104 days, during the trip Buenos Aires - Ushuaia and Ushuaia - Antarctica - Buenos Aires, a journey that ended without incident.
