VERY VERY proud to post today's cover video which is by the one and only, Steely Dan and their killer track off the Aja album, "Josie." Folks, I've played some fun covers up to now. But this one is by far, THE video I am most proud of. Jim Keltner is a legend and one of Jeff Porcaro's influences. Jim's technicality and subtle nuances in this song are what makes it so much fun to play and so challenging to get "right." While I did not play Jim's part note for note, I wanted to add my own little bit of subtle flavor. I worked hard on the playing AND the mix. This was ONE take, no edits, no samples, no punch-ins.
