How to make a Hummingbird Ant Moat

Sick and tired of ants getting all over your Hummingbird Feeders and taking over? Here is a quick and easy cheap way to make one from items laying around your garage. Clean paint cap lids, wine corks and coffee cup hooks. I made these and hung my feeders from my ant moats. When your finished making your ant moats and hang your Hummingbird feeders from the bottom coffee cup hook, don't forget to fill your ant moats with Water. Remember ants can't swim or cross water. Please don't use Essential oils or Vaseline or Cooking sprays on your Shepard Hooks. The Hummingbirds gets the oily residue on their feathers and they can't prune that junk off. It weighs them down and they fall prey to other predators. If anything, hang your feeders with the Homemade ant moat you just made away from any structure and hang them high. Happy Humming...
