Intro to Integration By Parts --- Examples: ∫xsinxdx & ∫arctan(x)dx
Welcome to the start of Calculus II! We begin with Integration By Parts, an integration method that will sometimes be useful for computing functions that can be expressed as the product of two other functions. We will derive the formula from the product rule, and then see two examples. Firstly, an indefinite example of xsinx where, and second a definite example with the trickier arctan(x). ►Full playlist for Calculus II: • Calculus II (Integration Methods, Series, ... **************************************************** YOUR TURN!
