画竜点睛 (Garyou-Tensei) ~D管尺八独奏曲~ (For Solo Shakuhachi in D) Composed by Daniel Musashi Performed by Reison Kuroda Premiered on March 21, 2021, at the Nippori Sunny Hall Concert Salon Hosted by the Tokyo International Association of Artists Program Notes: “Garyou-Tensei” is a meditative sound-painting, telling the story of the eponymous Japanese proverb which means "to draw the finishing touch”. The proverb originates from an old Chinese story about a painter who drew a dragon so real that when he drew in its eye, it came alive and ascended to the heavens. I was inspired by the many emotions of the sound of the wind and portrayed them with the Shakuhachi: the perfect instrument to breathe life into the vast colors of the wind. ©︎Daniel Musashi 2021 ______________________________________________________________________________________________ 画竜点睛 ~D管尺八独奏曲~ 作曲：武蔵輝明ダニエル 演奏：黒田鈴尊 初演：日暮里サニーホールコンサートサロン 主催：一般社団法人　東京国際芸術協会 プログラムノート： この「画竜点睛」は、風の音からインスピレーションを受けて作曲した作品です。身の回りに吹く様々な「風」の音と表情を一つの風景にまとめ、それらを楽音として表現したものです。作品では尺八だからこそ生み出せる多彩な「風」の音を、時には心地よく、時には勇ましく奏でています。曲はまず瞑想的に始まり、そして徐々に勇ましさと勢いに増し、最後には「画竜点睛」の意に相応しい終わりを迎えます。 ©︎Daniel Musashi 2021
