They considered it "the most comprehensive documentation of the unique style" of this universe, which helped them translate the angular 3D models from 2001 into the modern realities of Unreal Engine 5. 5. The Most Challenging Character to Design The developers revealed that the character who presented them with the most graphical challenges was Diego. His iconic appearance (including his distinctive mustache and facial features) was very difficult to translate into a photorealistic style without losing its original character. Interestingly, when designing the unique faces of the colony's inhabitants, the developers were inspired, among other things, by the faces of famous cosplayers from the series. 6. Tattoos with Meaning in the Swamp Camp At the Brotherhood (Sect) Camp, each Guru and Novice has unique tattoos. To ensure these designs weren't random, Alkimia Interactive hired a professional tattoo artist. He designed the entire "visual language," allowing the tattoos to reflect the hierarchy within the camp and the level of devotion to the Dreamer.
