Queenstown - New Zealand White water Rafting on the Kawarau River 17 December 2016 Family Holiday. Hello. On my end of year 7 Christmas break holiday I went to Queenstown, New Zealand with my family and friends. This was my first ever White water rafting experience with my family and friends. It was very exciting and loads of fun. I enjoyed the experience immensely. Afterwards I wanted to do the more advanced White water Rafting on the Shotover River but due to bad weather and river levels being too high, the booking was cancelled.
