Midnight Song

Singing in the Night *Scripture Focus: Acts 16 (NLT)* In Day 23 of our 30 Days of Joy journey, we discover a powerful truth: joy is not dependent on our circumstances. Acts 16 tells the remarkable story of Paul and Silas, who found themselves beaten, imprisoned, and chained in a dark jail cell. Yet instead of despairing, they prayed and sang hymns to God in the middle of the night. Their praise was not based on comfort or freedom. It was rooted in their confidence that God was still with them, even in their suffering. As they worshiped, God moved powerfully, shaking the prison and opening the doors. Their joy became a testimony that impacted everyone around them. Many of us face difficult nights—times of grief, uncertainty, loneliness, or struggle. This passage reminds us that God's presence remains with us in those moments. When we choose faith over fear and praise over despair, we open our hearts to experience His peace and strength. Joy can still sing in hard places because God is still faithful in hard places. *Prayer:* Father, help me praise You even during difficult nights. When circumstances are challenging and my heart feels weary, remind me that You are near. Fill me with Your peace and teach me to trust You through every trial. Let my life be a testimony of faith and joy. In Jesus' name, Amen. *Meditation Thought:* "Joy can still sing in hard places." Thank you for joining Day 23 of our 30 Days of Joy devotional series.
