It is a prequel to Serious Sam 3: BFE and tells the story of Sam Stone's fight against hordes of aliens led by Mental. The game's key features: Massive battles with hundreds, sometimes thousands, of enemies simultaneously. A large arsenal of weapons: shotguns, miniguns, rocket launchers, sniper rifles, and many more. New features for the series, such as a skill tree, gadgets, and side missions. The ability to drive vehicles and control combat mechs. The game received mixed reviews. The classic, very fast gameplay and massive battles were praised, but the optimization and technical issues were criticized. If you enjoy "old-school" shooters like DOOM, where constant movement and eliminating huge hordes of enemies are key, Serious Sam 4 might be a lot of fun.
