SwiftConf '22 - Stefan Blos & Amos Gyamfi: Animations are cool, right?

We sometimes assume animations are great and everybody loves them. So, we should fill up our apps with more, and more, and more of them. Right? Well, it’s not that easy. Animations and transitions should always carry meaning. Just adding them for the sake of it can bloat our apps and create a bad user experience (UX). In this talk, Amos and Stefan talk about what purpose animations and transitions serve and what careful thoughts should go into their implementation. They guide us to use animations judiciously to build connections between the content of apps and users. Bio Stefan is an iOS Developer Relations Engineer at Stream and located in Germany. Before that, he worked as a web and cloud developer and a freelance mobile developer. He always had the passion to share his findings with the community, be it via Blogposts, YouTube or Twitter. His colleague Amos, a former Interaction Designer, who now works as an iOS Developer Relations Engineer at Stream in Finland, has been replacing design tools with SwiftUI as a prototyping tool and has been sharing his creations on YouTube, Twitter, GitHub, and Udemy.   / stefanjblos     / amos_gyamfi   https://swiftconf.com   / swiftconf
