What if building your future home started with… mud, dry organic fibers, buckets, and a bit of dancing? We (Michaela & Reinhold from Jopói) joined an earth building workshop in Areguá together with our friends Lenny and Bastien—and it turned out to be one of the most fun (and messy) learning experiences we’ve had here in Paraguay. From analyzing soil like earth nerds and experimenting with mixes, to the famous “clay sausage test” (yes, that’s a thing) … everything builds up to one simple truth: you learn best by doing. And sometimes, by dancing on a giant pile of mud to mix it properly—led by our inspiring teacher Nicolás Silva… look how the little girl has clearly more rhythm than the rest of us. This was just Module 1, but it already opened a new perspective on building: simple, natural, and deeply human.
