Wochenendtrip Zell an der Mosel - auch im Winter ein tolles Ziel - alte Gemäuer neu belebt

We were really looking forward to a cozy winter weekend in the Moselle, but unfortunately, the over three-hour drive across the pitch-black Eifel region was quite a challenge. After arriving at the Mosel Camping Park, which can be used as a campsite for a small fee during the winter months, we enjoyed a good glass of wine and the view of the Moselle and the idyllic skyline of Zell. The next day, we planned to visit various Christmas markets. At noon, the time had come: we unpacked our bikes, the rain had cleared, and we were off. It was still too early in Zell for mulled wine and other festive treats, so we continued on to Merl. Here, we discovered that the tents were being packed up, as they only lasted until the day before. So, on to Alf. Here, again, the disappointment. We were two hours early, and everything was still covered, but threatening rain clouds were above us. So, we headed back to the motorhome. In the late afternoon, I wanted to watch the torchlit hike and film it for you, but then I killed my phone and, frustrated, headed back to the motorhome. The torchlit hike through the vineyards looked really great, but unfortunately, without me. For me, the weekend was over. On Sunday, I leisurely wrapped up the campground video and headed back home.
