• Date: December 13, 2022 (Tuesday) • Location: Seonjaryeong, Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province (1,157m) • Distance: Approximately 8.2km • Time: Approximately 3 hours • Course: Daegwallyeong Guksa Seonghwangsa Temple → Saebong → Seonjaryeong → Return to starting point (http://trgg.kr/t/M5291u) Hello, this is Misun☺ I finally started my first winter backpacking trip at Seonjaryeong! But the day I went was a market day... A cold snap has started and it's snowing. ㅎㅎ The wind chill is -24 degrees Celsius, and gusts of 21 m/s!!! Seonjaryeong was even more windy than I expected... ㄷㄷ I hadn't planned on such extreme conditions, but if you can't avoid it, you might as well enjoy it, right?ㅎㅎ After pitching my tent, I realized I was positioning it wrong, blocking the wind. ㅠ I'll have to pay close attention to the wind direction when pitching. I'm learning another lesson.ㅎㅎ We pitched our tent on a hill, but the forest on the other side is less windy, so keep that in mind! Finally, if you're planning to backpack at Seonjaryeong, check the weather carefully and prepare accordingly.
