Japanese Workday Lunch UDON NOODLES || Experiencing a Normal Day in Japan

Welcome (back) to Japan! I'm here for the Mt. Fuji KOM Cycling Event, but first I'm spending one week in Tokyo visiting with a good friend. Instead of chasing tourist attractions, of course I wanted to experience local life through the food! So I am going out, doing my best to find what feels like a classic working-day lunch. Thank you so much for joining me! Today, we're enjoying a comforting Japanese set meal featuring Udon noodles, rice porridge, a cool selection of traditional Japanese pickles, and finally three difference desserts (none of which I have tried before). Sometimes the most memorable travel moments aren't the famous landmarks (and if you know me by now then I don't need to explain this part too much), but I really believe that the everyday meals and quiet streets discovered along the way, these are the memories that stick, and these are what make a traveler feel like you're really getting to know a place. What's the most memorable local meal you've had while traveling in Japan? I'll be here for awhile, I will have time even to take a few dish recommendations (what should I be on the lookout to try??) #Japan #JapaneseFood #Udon #FoodAdventure #VisitJapan #TravelJapan #LocalFood
