Maladaptive Daydreaming is stealing your real life

For years, I lived more in my imagination than in reality. Since I was a little girl, maladaptive daydreaming became my escape. I would imagine the perfect relationship, the perfect body, the perfect life, the perfect version of myself. Instead of facing my insecurities, fears, and pain, I escaped into a world that felt safer than reality. What I’ve learned is that the enemy often convinces us that we’re incomplete without something we don’t currently have. A relationship. A different appearance. More money. More success. More attention. More validation. But God never called us to live in fantasy. He called us to renew our minds and walk in truth. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2 The truth is that no relationship, body, hairstyle, or achievement can complete us. Our identity was never meant to be built on those things. Maladaptive daydreaming may look harmless on the outside, but it can quietly steal your focus, your purpose, your peace, and your ability to fully engage with the life God has given you today. “If by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.” — Romans 8:13 In this video, I’m sharing my personal battle with maladaptive daydreaming, how it affected my life, and what God has been teaching me about living present, renewing my mind, and finding my identity in Christ instead of fantasy. If you’ve struggled with living in your head, escapism, fantasy relationships, or constantly wishing you were someone else, you’re not alone. “Take every thought captive to obey Christ.” — 2 Corinthians 10:5 It’s time to stop escaping reality and start stewarding the life God has already given us. #maladaptivedaydreaming #christianyoutube #renewyourmind #mentalhealthjourney #faithoverfear #identityinchrist #christiangrowth #healingjourney #takeeverythoughtcaptive #escapism #fantasy #christianwomen #biblicalmindset #selfimprovement
