How Close Can We Get To What We Had in a Restaurant? Thessaloniki is widely considered the food capital of Greece, but most visitors stick to the famous gyro spots and waterfront cafes. We wanted to see if we could capture that local culinary magic in a cramped rental kitchen using only what we could find at the neighborhood laiki agora (street market). In this video, we’re chasing the "perfect" Greek meal while navigating the realities of long-term travel. From the chaos of a local market where we spent €27.50 on a massive haul of fresh seafood and produce, to the struggle of cooking a multi-course feast on a single-burner Airbnb stove with a dull knife.
