21K MITJA MARATO COLOMENCA 09.02.2025

First of three half marathons before the Barcelona Marathon. I haven't put in so many intense kilometers in over two months. My goal is to break the 1h30m mark and get back into the swing of things. Next week, I'll push the pace for the Barcelona half marathon. The course is uphill, although there isn't as much elevation gain at the end, but it's noticeable in my legs. The start was very cold and windy, good for running in the cool air, but I had some gut issues, and halfway through the race, I had to make a quick and necessary technical stop. I had a rough time, but recovered, and back at the finish line, with plenty of room to run, I was able to regulate well and do better than expected in my first upcoming half marathon. A good result today, but not enough for a sub-3. My muscles aren't strong enough to sustain the pace after the 30km. Time to work. The marathon is 5 weeks away, and there's still room for improvement.
