The Moving of Kiruna Church: Preserving a Cultural Heritage
To enable continued iron ore mining, parts of Kiruna need to be relocated as part of the ongoing urban transformation. On the 19th and 20th of August 2025, one of the most symbolic and technically challenging moves will take place – the relocation of Kiruna Church, one of Kirunas most beloved buildings.
