Cervical cancer can be prevented completely through vaccination, with a success rate of over 99%. The vaccine is available in two-dose and three-dose regimens, depending on age. While vaccination is most effective before sexual activity, women of any age can benefit from screening programs. India has the potential to eliminate cervical cancer through widespread vaccination and awareness. One dose of the vaccine has been shown to be as effective as three doses, easing concerns about missed doses.
