Exploring New River Gorge National Park in the Rain | Endless Wall + Kaymoor Trail #nationalparks

Some adventures don't go according to plan... and today's visit to New River Gorge NP was one of those! I spent the day exploring New River Gorge National Park & Preserve in West Virginia, determined not to let the rain ruin the adventure. Before reaching the park, I made a stop in the charming town of Lewisburg, West Virginia, often considered one of the state's most beautiful small towns. From there, the adventure continued with: 🌧️ Hiking the stunning Endless Wall Trail in the rain 🚗 Driving the scenic Fayette Station Road beneath the New River Gorge Bridge 🥾 Tackling the Kaymoor Trail, where I took a wrong turn and turned one hike into a much longer adventure 🌄 Driving to the southern end of the park hoping to catch an incredible sunset... only to have the clouds and rain win this round. Even without blue skies or a sunset, New River Gorge proved why it's one of America's newest and most underrated national parks. Sometimes the best travel memories come from embracing whatever the day throws at you.
