In Woljeon-ri, Nampo-myeon, Boryeong-si, lies a small island called Jukdo, now connected to the mainland. Once filled with bamboo, this island was transformed into a traditional Korean garden through the efforts of novelist Hong Sang-hwa over the past 20 years. Public Transportation From Boryeong Terminal, take Bus No. 401 from the Medical Center, about 1km away. It takes about 50 minutes to an hour to reach the final stop. From Boryeong Terminal to the Medical Center, take Bus No. 101 or 101 for three stops, a 5-minute walk, or about 15 minutes. Parking: There is a parking lot on the island, but it is not large and the roads are narrow, so it can be very congested. It's easier to park near the Nampo Seawall near the entrance and walk for about 5 minutes. Admission: ₩7,000 for adults. Coffee and rice cakes are available at the visitor center.
