We recently visited "Nanki Shirahama Nagomi no Yu Kachofugetsu," a luxurious inn nestled on a hilltop in Shirahama, Wakayama. Opened in 2022, all 24 rooms boast private open-air baths with natural hot spring water. The biggest surprise was the generous service: alcohol in the lounge, complimentary Shirahama Nagisa beer in the guest room refrigerator, and free Shirahama Nagisa beer with dinner! We thoroughly enjoyed the flavors of Kishu, including prosciutto from the renowned "Schindler Delicatessen" and crispy fried spring rolls with sakura shrimp. Spending time in our private bath with a beer in hand, surrounded by the scent of wood, was pure bliss… This completely non-smoking, clean space is perfect for a refreshing adult getaway.
