TWO YEAR FREIGHT CONVERSION! - MAMMOTH B777LRMF DEPARTS MANCHESTER AIRPORT (MAN/EGCC), 22/06/26 ✈️

Today, I was able to get down to the airport to catch quite a historic moment for Manchester’s newest maintenance company, STS, who do jobs ranging from two day quick checks, and then 2 year converting jobs! And this Mammoth B777 is the first ever aircraft to have been converted from a passenger aircraft to a freighter at STS Manchester, with it having arrived on the 16th June, 2024! Almost 2 years to the day ago, so to see it finally depart this morning was a brilliant moment, with it looking so different to what it did when it arrived with its new cargo door and branding, the aircraft was ferried to Teruel in Spain where i can only imagine it will be stored until needed again, but hopefully this isn’t the last flight of this aircraft, it would be a shame if it was considering all the work done on it!
