Celebration of Life Service | Sis. Laura Lee Chandler | July 10, 2026

Sunrise: May 4, 1942 - Sunset: June 20, 2026 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sister Laura L. Chandler, a longtime and treasured member of the St. James Community Church family (formerly St. James United Methodist Church). Laura possessed a lifelong passion for learning and faithfully answered her calling as an elementary school teacher. With patience, wisdom, and compassion, she helped shape the lives of countless students while touching the hearts of families within the St. James church family and throughout the wider community. Although health challenges eventually prevented Laura from worshiping with us within the walls of St. James, her devotion to the Lord never diminished. Laura will be deeply missed by her church family, her beloved relatives and friends, and her sisters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. While our hearts grieve her passing, we rejoice in the assurance that she now rests in God's eternal presence. PRAYER REQUEST We lift up her family, friends, and all who mourn her passing, praying that they may be comforted by God’s unfailing love, strengthened by His abiding presence, and sustained by the peace that surpasses all understanding during this time of bereavement.
