VEREDITO A Odisseia - CRÍTICA DO FILME DE CHRISTOPHER NOLAN

After much anticipation, Christopher Nolan's new film is finally here. The Odyssey, an adaptation of Homer's epic Greek poems, has everything it takes to be one of the major films of 2026. For this verdict, our critics called upon a powerful quartet: Giovanna Pagano, Marcelo Hessel, André Zuliani, and Alê Almeida. Did Nolan hit the mark again, or did he fall short? About The Odyssey: The film is yet another adaptation of Homer's classic heroic poem, a continuation of the Iliad, which tells the story of Odysseus (Ulysses in some translations), who spends 10 years trying to return home to Ithaca after his victory in the Trojan War. Enraged, the god of the seas, Poseidon, does everything to prevent him from returning to his wife, Penelope. Matt Damon will play Odysseus. According to the Greek press, where a large part of the film was shot, Anne Hathaway will play the character's wife, Penelope. Tom Holland will play Telemachus, son of Odysseus, with Zendaya playing the goddess Athena, Charlize Theron as Circe, Benny Safdie as Agamemnon, and Lupita Nyong'o as Helen of Troy and Clytemnestra, Agamemnon's wife. The cast also includes more stars: Robert Pattinson, Jon Bernthal, Mia Goth, John Leguizamo, and many others. Long-time collaborators of Nolan are returning, such as composer Ludwig Göransson (TENET and Oppenheimer) and cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema, who has been working on Nolan's films since Interstellar. The Odyssey arrives in theaters on July 16, 2026. 0:00 Introduction 0:54 Synopsis 2:02 Verdict The Odyssey 27:00 Conclusion 40:17 Closing #odyssey #theodyssey #christophernolan
