It is located between Warangal and Hanamkonda on the banks of the beautiful Bhadrakali Lake. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakali, a fierce and powerful form of Goddess Parvati and Durga. According to local traditions, the goddess is worshipped as a protector and divine mother who blesses devotees with courage, prosperity, and strength. The temple is believed to have origins dating back to the 7th century during the rule of the Chalukya dynasty. Historians generally associate the temple with the period of Pulakeshin II and later regional rulers who contributed to its growth and importance. The idol of Goddess Bhadrakali is one of the temple's most remarkable features.
